Paul Tierney will take charge of the match between Manchester City and Everton on Saturday, the Premier League has announced.
City travel to Goodison Park on Saturday 26 February, with kick-off scheduled for 17:30 GMT (5:30pm UK).
City’s 15-match unbeaten run was brought to an end as Harry Kane’s dramatic late strike secured Tottenham a 3-2 victory..
Everton were beaten 2-0 by Southampton in their last encounter and currently sit 16th in the Premier League table.
However, Frank Lampard’s men will be buoyed by their recent home form, winning each of their last two matches at Goodison Park.
Ahead of the meeting at Goodison Park, the Premier League have announced that Paul Tierney will take charge of Manchester City’s Premier League meeting with Everton on Saturday evening.
Saturday’s game will be Tierney’s fifth match involving Manchester City this season, with the referee having been charge of the Blues’ matches against Leicester, Liverpool and most recently, the 7-0 win over Leeds United.
Tierney, who has refereed 24 games so far this season, has shown 91 yellow cards and one red card.
Joining Paul Tierney at the Goodison Park this weekend will be assistant referees Lee Betts and Stuart Burt while video assistant referees Chris Kavanagh and Gary Beswick and Martin Atkinson the fourth official for Sunday’s match.
The news was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, with many not pleased with the decision.
