Manchester City‘s summer signing Jack Grealish could be out of action for a month after picking up an injury, according to reports.
Grealish joined City from Aston Villa last summer for a British record fee but has failed to live up to his price tag in a sky blue shirt.
So far this season, the England playmaker has three goals and three assists in 25 matches.
The Premier League champions face Norwich City this weekend, and Grealish was expected to face his his former Villa boss, Dean Smith.
But the former Aston Villa man was nowhere to be seen when City named the matchday squad to face Norwich City at Carrow Road in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
According to Mike McGrath for the Telegraph, Jack Grealish has suffered an injury in training and could be out for a month with assessments pending.
That would rule him out of Manchester City’s Champions League clash against Sporting Lisbon, while he could also miss the Manchester derby at the start of March.
Pep Guardiola has confirmed the injury in his pre-match press conference ahead of his sides clash with Norwich City at Carrow Road.
‘Jack Grealish is injured. He has the same [problem] that he had last season with Villa’, Guardiola said.
‘He trained after the game against Brentford, we did a test but he was not ready today, but hopefully [he will be] next Tuesday.’
The news was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
