Manchester City fans left the Carrow Road being more than pleased with what they saw from their side, aa Raheem Sterling scored a hat-trick to condemned Norwich to a 4-0 defeat.
Norwich were on a run of three games unbeaten but despite threatening in periods of the first half, were undone by a fine strike from Sterling on 31 minutes after Max Aarons scuffed a clearance.
Sterling steers an accurate strike into the far corner to give Manchester City their long-awaited breakthrough against Norwich City.
Phil Foden made the game safe on 48 minutes, scrambling a close-range finish home that was given the all-clear by goal-line technology.
Man City then wrapped up the game when Sterling arrived from close range to head home following Ruben Dias’ powerful header across goal.
Then, as stoppage time approached, Man City were given a penalty for a foul on Liam Delap. It presented Sterling with the opportunity to complete his hat-trick.
The England international score his seventh career hat-trick – a perfect one at that – when tapping home with his left foot after his original penalty kick had been saved by Angus Gunn.
Man City, as a result, have a 12-point lead over Liverpool (who have two games in hand) at the top of the Premier League table.
Here, we take a look at how the Man City faithful reacted to their side’s win via social media.
