Manchester City supporters are buzzing after news broke that academy starlet Oscar Bobb is part of the travelling contingent to have made the trip to Swindon, ahead of Friday night’s FA Cup third round tie.
The City right winger Oscar Bobb wasn’t ready for Under-23s football at first, but has now found his feet.
And while a first-team appearance has not yet come, Bobb has taken significant strides forward this season by starring in the Under-23 team.
The 18-year-old Norwegian leads the league for assists with eight from 15 starts – as well as scoring three times – to step up in a prolific attack including Cole Palmer and James McAtee.
The club confirmed on Thursday that 21 members of the first-team bubble have tested positive, including the manager and assistant manager Juanma Lillo, with Rodolfo Borrell leading the team at the County Ground on Friday night.
According to The Secret Scout, 18 year-old forward Oscar Bobb has been included in the travelling matchday squad that has made the journey south to Swindon on Friday afternoon.
Norwegian journalist Arilas Ould-Saada also confirm the teenage Manchester City academy talent will start the clash at the County Ground on the substitutes bench.
Here’s what some City fans had to say about Oscar Bobb with the senior squad on Twitter…

Very typical Pep player though. Intelligent, good passer and the ball is always glued to his feet

Better than Sancho already

He’s been better than Kayky for the EDS this season, and most of them tbh. Absolutely deserves it. https://t.co/V8GlcONC1N

Happy with this, some minutes would be nice but I couldn’t really care less about him starting tbh. Would rather give it to Palmer and McAtee https://t.co/cUrQ839Un7
