Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has name Manchester City as one for the team to win the Uefa Champions league this season, which has got many of the Club’s supporters talking.
The Norwegian marksman has been widely tipped to seek a new challenge elsewhere ahead of next season, with Manchester City joining a whole host of top clubs with a shared interest in securing his signature.
Having missed out on a deal for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane earlier this year, the Norwegian goal machine is reportedly next Pep Guardiola’s ‘primary striker target’ as he looks for a new No 9 after the departure of Sergio Aguero last summer.
Haaland is widely understood to have a clause in his Dortmund contract that will allow him to leave for a bargain figure in the summer transfer window.
A release clause believed to be in the region of £65million will likely prompt a bidding war come the end of the campaign.
Talks over the 21-year-old’s future have been played out in public. The player finally broke his silence in a blockbuster interview earlier this month, claiming that Dortmund want a decision on where he will play next season soon.
In his most recent interview via Sky Sports, the Manchester City target was asked on who will win the Champions League.
‘I think either Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain or Real Madrid will win the Champions League’, Haaland said.
These Haaland’s comments were shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the supporters.
