Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club will now face big competition for the signing of Erling Haaland with Real Madrid in the race for the 21-year-old striker.
The Borussia Dortmund’s striker is reportedly next Pep Guardiola’s ‘primary striker target’ as he looks for a new No 9 after the departure of Sergio Aguero last summer.
Haaland, who remains under contract with the Black and Yellow until 2024, has already netted 19 goals in 16 appearances for Dortmund this term despite injury concerns.
Such remarkable progress in Germany has invariably put the Norwegian goal machine on the radars of many European football clubs, with Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid among his suitors.
According to the Sun, Real Madrid are serious contenders to beat Manchester City and Man United in the race for superstar Erling Haaland.
The attacker reportedly has a release clause of £68m that comes into effect in the New Year, which has put many of Europe’s top sides on alert for Haaland.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Chief and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
