Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Oleksandr Zinchenko is on the radars of Genoa, managed by Andriy Zinchenko.
The Italian outfit, facing the prospect of relegation, have recently appointed Andriy Shevchenko as their new manager. And just a month after his arrival, it appears the former Chelsea forward is already trying to poach some Ukrainian stars.
One player he is particularly keeping an eye on is Oleksandr Zinchenko of Manchester City, who played under Shevchenko for the national side.
The 24-year-old has fallen down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola this season, and has found first-team minutes difficult to come by since regaining fitness following a calf injury as Joao Cancelo and Kyle Walker currently occupy starting positions in Pep Guardiola’s XI.
According to a recent report from Pianita Genoa as relayed by Sport Witness, talks are now ongoing for Genoa to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City.
The report states that the Manchester City defender’s valuation would be no problem in January, with new investment in place at Genoa.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Can’t really see this happening tbh. He’s very settled here, loves the club and as we move towards the busiest time of the season, his game time will increase.

Zinchenko deserves starting spot and he deserves to stay in City

He doesn’t deserve to leave the club. He’s absolutely a fantastic player i hope this is not true, we can’t afford to lose him

Our system suits him best. Can't see him doing this well as a left back anywhere else. Not to mention he has adequate game time here and wins trophies every year. Wouldn't be surprised if he has plans of retiring here. https://t.co/P4xxMqHJfa
