A number of Manchester City fans have reacted to a transfer update regarding the future of Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland.
Having missed out on a deal for Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane earlier this year, the Norwegian goal machine is reportedly next Pep Guardiola’s ‘primary striker target’ as he looks for a new No 9 after the departure of Sergio Aguero last summer.
Haaland, who remains under contract with the Black and Yellow until 2024, has already netted 19 goals in 16 appearances for Dortmund this term despite injury concerns.
The Dortmund talisman has become one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market since making his breakthrough at Red Bull Salzburg a couple of years ago.
Such remarkable progress in Germany has invariably put the Norwegian goal machine on the radars of many European football clubs, with Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Real Madrid among his suitors.
According to Gianluca di Marzio, cited by Wett Freunde, Los Blancos, along with Barcelona, are Haaland’s most likely next destinations.
That’s because during di Marzio’s interview, he noted that the young Norwegian ‘doesn’t like’ the Premier League.
“He doesn’t like Premier League too much. It is not in his dreams. It is not the perfect league at the moment,” the Italian was quoted as saying.
“He prefers La Liga – he likes Liga a lot. So, I think in his thoughts, La Liga is the perfect tournament, now, to play in. Or Bundesliga, where he is currently playing.
“So it is not sure that he’ll leave in the summer. Borussia Dortmund thinks that for his career, another year there should be the right step. I don’t know what Mino Raiola thinks about it.
I think Raiola wants to get him out of Borussia Dortmund because after two years there it is important for him to have another challenge. So I think he will try to find the right solution for him.”
In light to the update on Haaland, many Man City fans have reacted – here are some of the best responses.

Might be false but I wouldn’t be surprised, Haaland just gives Madrid vibes. Even if he signs for us I wouldn’t be surprised if he asked to leave. Would rather have a player committed to City

Guordiola won’t ever sign a player who thinks himself to be greater than the team itself! Just saying
