Manchester City are reportedly still interested in Harry Kane and could make another move for the Tottenham Hotspur striker during the January transfer window.

Pep Guardiola’s side are known to be in the market for a new centre-forward following Sergio Aguero’s departure from the club last summer.

The Citizens were strongly linked with the England captain over the summer but could not come to an agreement with Spurs over a transfer fee, with the North London club thought to value their star player at £160m.

Kane has found it difficult to show his best form at club level this term, netting just once in 13 Premier League appearances, although he has scored eight times in 20 outings in all competitions.

According to El Nacional, Man City boss Pep Guardiola is still keen on the 28-year-old and views him as the perfect player to fit into his system at the Etihad Stadium.

However, it seems Harry Kane’s preference has with the striker now reportedly eying a move to a club other than Manchester City.

El Nacional claims the England captain is now said to prefer a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid over Pep Guardiola’s side.

It is reported that Kane wishes to try his talents in a different competition and so could seek a move abroad.

Madrid may prefer to sign Erling Haaland, however, while Carlo Ancelotti is also said to have been impressed with Karim Benzema who is already with the club.

Kane still has two-and-a-half years left on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, so Antonio Conte’s side remain in a strong position when it comes to the Englishman’s future.
