Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is back in the race for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, and will be willing to meet the Serie A club’s asking price.
The 21-year-old striker was linked with a move to the Etihad as Harry Kane alternative as City were in the market for a prolific striker across the course of the summer transfer window.
Having failed to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur during the summer, Vlahovic has been regarded as a realistic alternative ahead of 2022.
The Serbian forward, who is who is attracting interest from nearly every top side on the planet, scored 21 goals last season, and has 12 in 15 already this term, further adding to his growing reputation across the continent.
According to La Repubblica, as translated and relayed by Get Italian Football News, Manchester City are ‘back in the race’ for Dusan Vlahovic, and will be ‘willing to meet‘ Fiorentina’s asking price.
However, a move depends on Manchester City’s own wishes, as to whether they really want the player over other options – namely the aforementioned Erling Haaland.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
