Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have ‘lowered their demands’ for Ferran Torres, making a deal with Barcelona far easier to achieve.
The name of Spanish international has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines over the course of the last couple of weeks.
This comes on the back of reports rapidly spreading across the attacker’s home country that La Liga giants Barcelona have set their sights firmly on a January swoop for Torres.
The Catalan club are desperate to sign him when the winter transfer window opens in January, and have already held talks with the Premier League club.
However, the talks have not advanced yet, with the Premier League giants having no intention of selling their star player in January, but are ready to negotiate the 21-year-old’s sale, but will not give any discounts to the La Liga side.
According to Spanish publication Sport as relayed by Sport Witness, Manchester City have dropped their asking price for Ferran Torres to €60M, and Barcelona are going to raise their offer to €45M. ‘Variables’ can now come into the mix to make up the difference, with City preferring these to be ‘easier to achieve’.
The report claims that Man City want as much money as possible upfront, to enter the market immediately and sign a replacement. Man City want the first payment to be a ‘powerful’ one, but Barcelona are looking for payments in instalments and a low first instalment.
The report was shared on Twitter and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
No way can we let this man go for less than £50m. Absolute joke

Ridiculous Barcelona are in a desperate need for a goalscorer so we should exploit the opportunity and ask for more money rather than decreasing the valuation

There is no way they are going to offload a top 10 young player in the world on a good contract for so cheap to “help” Barcelona..absolute madness if that happens 60mil minimum even that is cheap for his age and term still left.. not like Barcelona would do this for us

Ferran Torres is very young player. Please keep him in squad. Don’t make another mistake like Sane. 🤔😎
