Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is considering two factors which could scupper their move for Erling Haaland.
The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bundesliga outfit in the summer of 2022, when his €75m (£64.39m) release clause becomes active.
The Borussia Dortmund’s striker is reportedly Pep Guardiola’s ‘primary striker target’ as he looks for a new No 9 after the departure of Sergio Aguero last summer.
However, according to report from Germany, Pep Guardiola’s side continue to prompt questions of ‘what if’ when it comes to their decision not to sign a striker during the summer.
According to Bild as relayed by Sport witness, City’s hierarchy are growing concerned with two issues that make the youngster a less attractive prospect.
The first one is related to the hip flexor issue, which could have an impact on his ‘pace, strength and endurance’.
Secondly, the involvement of super-agent Mino Raiola is set to ramp up the financial aspects of the deal.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

Just pay up. We were literally ready to offer more for Kane who’s had much more injuries.

No brainer
Stop making up silly excuses when the club was literally prepared to pay £150m for Harry Kane – JUST BUY HAALAND @ManCity

So Haaland has one injury and it’s the end of the world, but Kane gets injured in the business end of every season and that’s fine

Just do it. Seriously we can’t afford to not get a striker in. This man is the Aguero replacement. https://t.co/rsB2ZxvYC3
