Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club ‘would still move’ for Harry Kane if Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy budges.
City did all they could to land Kane but Tottenham refused to negotiate, and with no suitable alternative they decided to go into the season with Jack Grealish as their only senior addition.
Levy stood firm on his £150million valuation and it might have been too much to ask of City who had spent £100million on Jack Grealish during that time.
Guardiola’s side were also linked with a swoop for Erling Haaland last summer, but were put off by Dortmund’s £150m price tag as the Bundesliga side wanted to hold onto their prized asset.
The Borussia Dortmund’s striker is reportedly now Pep Guardiola’s ‘primary striker target’ as he looks for a new No 9.
With Dortmund reportedly cautiously optimistic that Haaland will not leave them next summer, City could still try to sign Harry Kane again.
According to Stuart Brennan for Manchester Evening News, the premier leaque champions ‘would still move’ for Harry Kane if Daniel Levy budges from his refusal to discuss selling the striker, either in January or ‘more likely’ – next summer.
Since the summer, Kane has only scored one Premier League goal in nine appearances, looking out of sorts in the process.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Conte hands City Harry kane boost
City might be sensing good news with regards to Harry Kane after Antonio Conte handed Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paratici a January transfer shopping list, according to Gazzetta.
Keen to get to work, the former Chelsea boss has already shortlisted a number of Serie A names, which includes purported City target Dusan Vlahovic.
Could that give a green light to the move Kane and Pep Guardiola were unable to complete over the summer?
