Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays claims on a contract update involving star forward Raheem Sterling.
The England international, who is still yet to put pen to paper on fresh terms at the Etihad Stadium, has been the subject of some criticism for his City performances over the last year.
He struggled to become a regular starter under Pep Guardiola last term but is believed to have been in talks over a new deal over the summer.
However, Sterling is yet to commit his future to the Premier League champions beyond the summer of 2023, meaning that City could come under increasing pressure to sell him in the coming months.
According to a report from the well-informed James Ducker of The Telegraph, talks over a new deal for Raheem Sterling will remain on hold for now, as the player waits to see how the next few months pan out.
Sterling has also fallen behind Grealish in the pecking order since his compatriot’s £100m arrival, and the report claims that the attacker is fighting for his right to wear the light blue.
Sterling boasts a total of 115 goals and 88 assists from 301 games in a Man City shirt, but he has only started two of the club’s six Premier League games so far this term.
Barcelona are rumoured to be plotting a January move for the 26-year-old, after failing to make concrete efforts this summer.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

City is a Giant football now
There should be no room for mediocrity
Sterling wouldn’t get regular game time anymore
As much as some of us won't want to hear this, Sterling is leaving next summer.
