Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Juventus have been in contact with the club over the availability of star midfielder Bernardo Silva.
During the summer transfer window, the Portugal international had informed the club of his desire to leave and the club was open to the prospect of allowing Silva to leave.
The deadline passed with the versatile attacker still in Manchester, though, and he has been an important player for the English champions this term, starting six of City’s seven Premier League fixtures.
Now the £150,000-a-week midfielder has reportedly ‘entered into the sights’ of Juventus, who would like to sign him on loan with a fee or on a dry loan until the end of the season.
According to CalcioMercato, the Italian giants are eager to sign an all-around midfielder in the January window. And Silva has emerged as a potential option for Juventus.
As per the report, City ‘could accept’ a loan offer for Silva from Juventus. However, this could be dependent on injuries and how much playing time the 27-year-old playmaker gets between now and the January transfer window.
Juventus, who sit seventh in Serie A, will unlikely have the finances to convince Silva to make the move to Italy.
And with Silva enjoying his football, they could be forced to look at other options despite seemingly already making contact with City for the midfielder.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
Why would we give our best player on form on a dry loan 😭😭😭

There’s no way Pep is going to allow this to happen. He managed to convince him to stay.

Simple, if Bernardo left permanently or on loan it would be one of the biggest mistakes that the club had ever made regarding transfers, madness
