Some Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims the club is set to reignite their interest in signing Borussia Monchengladbach‘s defensive midfielder Denis Zakaria.
The 24-year-old Swiss international has already established himself as one of the finest midfielders in the Bundesliga which have caught the eye of several European clubs.
The Cityzens have been linked with a number of midfielders this summer, and with Fernandinho looking like leaving the Etihad at the end of the season, they do need reinforcements in that area.
According to the Manchester Evening News, City will turn their attention to signing Zakaria, who will also see his current deal expire in the summer of 2022.
Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl revealed in July that the 24-year-old is likely to leave the club, which would see the midfielder end his five-year association in the Bundesliga.
The Switzerland international has also been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, but it is thought that City are the current frontrunners for his signature.
Zakaria, who is valued at £24.3million by transfermarkt has made 134 appearances across all competitions for Monchengladbach, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, some Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Rodri is clear, but I wouldn't say no to him as second option

That's incredible to sign a defensive mid fielder but what we are looking for now is to sign a deadly striker in the January transfer
