Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne are set to return to training for and could make the substitutes bench for Saturday’s trip to Leicester.
The Manchester City pair have both been out with injuries sustained at Euro 2020 but are expected back this week.
Foden has been suffering from a foot injury he picked up on international duty with England at Euro 2020 in July, and has missed the start of the Blues season.
While De Bruyne struggled with an injury he picked up at Euro 2020, where he limped off with an ankle injury in the quarter-final win over Portugal.
Despite that, he came on for the final ten minutes against Tottenham for Pep Guardiola’s side first game of the season but has failed to shake off the injury problem.
According to Stuart Brennan from the Manchester Evening News, both Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden are set to return to full training at the City Football Academy this week, with a substitute appearance in this weekend’s game against Leicester City on the cards.
In reaction to the news shared on Twitter by City Xtra, Man City fans as usual have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
