Many Sky Blues were impressed with the performance of Jack Grealish in the 1-0 win on Saturday Afternoon against Chelsea in the Premier leaque.
Thomas Tuchel named a defensive side to face the reigning champions but his decision backfired as Manchester City dominated proceedings in London.
After an uneventful first-half, City took the lead through Gabriel Jesus and should have scored more but Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy was in fine form to deny them.
Among the Manchester City XI, there were some fine performances that caught the eye of City fans. One such player to put in a fine display was Jack Grealish, who is starting to really live up to that £100m price-tag.
The formal Aston Villa man Struggled in his early battles with Azpilicueta and James but found more joy once James went off, finding space to pick out De Bruyne on two occasions.
He started the second half well with two shots from the left just wide and proved a menace until the final whistle.
Some Man City fans took to social media to express their feelings on the 26-year-old’s performance.
What a better way to spend 100 million 💙💙💙

Was sceptical of why Man City needed to sign Jack Grealish but hands up, I was wrong, he’s a big boost to that team.

Best Grealish performance in a City shirt. I was sceptical of the move. I wasn’t sure how he’d fare in a system where he wasn’t the main guy. But there’s definitely been visible improvements made in his overall game since his debut.

Pep’s idea for Jack Grealish becomes clearer and clearer with each performance.

He has that Je Ne Sais Quoi that Sterling will never have on the ball. He can hold it and hold it and never look flustered…and still do something productive.
