Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have ‘entered the race’ for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic as Harry Kane’s alternative.
City are in the market for a new striker this summer with their priority remaining Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane but the club are prepared to walkaway from the deal if Spurs do not lower their asking price.
Tottenham had targeted Vlahovic as the replacement for Kane should he go to Manchester City, but it seems as if Pep Guardiola has decided to go straight for the younger and cheaper forward instead.
According to Fiorenze Viola via Sport witness, Manchester City have decided to join the race and have make an offer of €80m, including the up front payment and easily achievable bonuses.
The report claims Man City see Vlahovic as a ‘substitute for Harry Kane’. Fiorentina are now ‘waiting for the offer’.
The 21 year-old centre-forward joined Fiorentina in 2018 from Partizan for a knockdown €1.95m. The Serbia international scored 21 Serie A goals last season and currently has seven caps for Serbia, with two goals.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.

This guy is a killer in front of goal. Thank god we have a Plan B if we can’t get Kane

We’re surely guaranteed to sign a clinical striker at this point, we’re winning it all

Don’t think this will happen, but seems a great talent. 21 goals in Serie A last season for a team that finished 13th. Only 21yo too

Most likely us trying to push the Kane deal this or Vlahovic agent asking around but if it is true I’ll be happy 21 league goals last season with our creative players he’ll be very good
