Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has ruled out a move for Robert Lewandowski before the end of the transfer window.
The premier league champions have been chasing Harry Kane for much of the summer, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy continues to dig his heels over a deal.
With less than two weeks remaining in the transfer window, that Kane stalemate has led to speculation they could instead move for Lewandowksi, despite Bayern wanting £100million for their star striker.
The Polish international is reportedly open to leaving Bayern Munich but yet Guardiola believes that the player will stay with the German champions.
“Lewy (Lewandowski) is such an important player for Bayern Munich and he will stay at Bayern Munich. I am not going to talk with 11 days left in the transfer market,” Guardiola said as quoted by Manchester Evening News.
The Spanish bosses was then asked whether he was pleased with current state of his squad, adding: “Absolutely, more than happy.
“It is the same team except for Sergio Aguero coming in for Jack Grealish last season.”
Here’s what some Man City fans had to say about these Guardiola’s comments on Lewandowski on Twitter.

Better target than kane, and then next windows sign halaand

It's my reasoning that if we won't sign Kane this transfer period, then more or less we'll go for Haaland fully.
