Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Arsenal are exploring Bernardo Silva transfer as alternative to James Maddison.
Silva has been a superb player for City, helping the club win three Premier League titles, four EFL Cups and the FA Cup since joining from Monaco in 2017.
But his future is in doubt now after City signed Jack Grealish for £100million. They are now stacked with attacking options and Bernardo’s game time is expected to be limited next season if he stays at the club.
The former Monaco man emerged as one of the players who could be on his way out of the Etihad at the beginning of this summer as Man City look to freshen up their squad.
And Pep Guardiola has even admitted that the Portuguese is hoping to leave the Premier League champions in the near future.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal have now started to explore the possibility of signing Bernardo, as they continue the search for a new attacking midfielder.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Maddison, but Leicester are playing hardball, with Brendan Rodgers planning for the 24-year-old to be part of his squad next season.
Mikel Arteta knows the player well from his time at City, where he worked as Guardiola’s assistant before taking the Arsenal job.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
