Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has opened up about his admiration of migrating geese, which has left some fans scratching their heads.
The Daily Mail earlier this week claimed Pep Guardiola was left ‘fascinated’ by a flock of geese during first-team training at the Etihad Campus in Greater Manchester.
When quizzed on the slightly bizarre story during Guardiola’s press conference on Friday ahead of City’s opening Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur, the Spaniard reveals his fascination with migrating geese.
“It’s a good image to express what life should be. Not all the time one person leading, it can change. It’s not just sport, the way we live in the season, every day, on the pitch. One individual person is less than the organisation the team,” Pep said.
The Manchester City coach has won practically everything there is to win in football, has made game-changing tactical innovations and coached some of the greatest sides in the history of the game. But his latest philosophical soundbite has left some fans scratching their heads.
This Guardiola’s comment has prompt plenty of Sky Blues to react on social media.

People saying Pep lost his head are the very people who fall in line with the world leaders agenda and hold back society, society needs people like Pep, people that can look outside the box, there isn’t enough of them, and that’s why not everyone prospers in life
