Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Harry Kane Harry Kane is very concerned that his big move to the Etihad will be gone forever if he does not make a switch over from Tottenham in the next fortnight.
City have just over two weeks to complete the deal before the transfer window shuts on Aug. 31, and there are plans to test Spurs’ resolve to keep the England captain.
Talks between the two clubs over Kane have stalled with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy asking for £160million, while City are yet to improve on their initial £100million bid earlier in the summer.
According to Dean Jones via Eurosport on Tuesday, Harry Kane is ‘anxious’ for a move to Manchester City to be completed and also ‘fears’ that a move to the Etihad Stadium will be ‘gone forever’ if he does not make a switch before the transfer deadline on August 31st.
Jones adds that Manchester City have ‘reservations’ beyond this season about spending ‘so much’ on Harry Kane – and have other options to pursue if the situation surrounding the England captain does not go their way.
Despite the back and forth and uncertainty surrounding the future of the Spurs striker, Jones reiterates that there is still ‘confidence’ from Manchester City that they can convince Spurs to sell.
City think now is the right time to land Kane, believing they will get the most out of signing the England star in his prime.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.

If it’s not done, this has to represent a huge failure from Txiki, Sorriano et al. Some City fans don’t want to hear it, but Pep, Khaldoun and everyone connected with the club knew we needed a striker – particularly with Sergio leaving at the end of the season.

To be fair, I think he's right. Can't see us coming in again next year. He'll still have two years on his contract and I'm sure other cheaper, younger options will present themselves by that time.

He’s trying to play both sides: pushing for a move but refusing to do anything that would upset fans. If he truly is desperate to move he needs to take actual action
