Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Real Madrid have been offered the chance to sign Bernardo Silva this summer.
Silva has been a superb player for City since joining from Monaco in 2017 but his future is in doubt now after City signed Jack Grealish for £100million.
The Portuguese is prepared to leave the Etihad and the belief is that he would like a move to Spain in order to be closer to his famil. He has been been linked with a move to Barcelona, Real Maldrid and Atletico Madrid this summer.
Silva’s representatives have been working hard behind the scenes and have helped generate the interest, but they realise a deal will be difficult and much will depend on how much room to manoeuvre there is at City’s end.
According to Sport_Witness, Bernardo Silva’s agent has offered Real Madrid the chance to sign the Man City midfielder for €40M, but ‘he is not a player of interest’ for the La Liga club.
The report claims Madrid’s only focus at this moment in time appears to be Kylian Mbappé, who may leave Paris Saint Germain if they can’t convince him to sign a new deal at the club.
Silva only signed a new long-term deal in 2019 and that still has four years left to run, making any sort of transfer very costly.
