Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays another update of the club’s reported interest in Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic as Harry Kane’s alternative.
The 21-year-old striker’s future at Fiorentina is under the scanner with suggestions that he could be on his way out in the final days of the transfer window.
City are in the market for a new striker this summer with their priority remaining Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane but the club are prepared to walkaway from the deal if Spurs do not lower their asking price.
Pep Guardiola is certainly aware that the club needs to recruit a striker this summer given his side’s struggles in front of goal, and reports have surfaced suggesting that Vlahovic has now become the ‘primary objective’ for the Citizens.
According to Sam Lee for The Athletic UK, Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic is not a target for Manchester City, with their ‘full attention’ on Harry Kane and possible outgoings.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.
Were not a serious club, Jesus and Torres will be our strikers this season. We are finished. https://t.co/uYUFJS4gxj

That hurts. We should go for him if we aren’t able to sign Kane.

big mistake

We’re wasting time. Levy isn’t keen to accept any of our offers so we might as well move on to Vlahovic like we did with Koulibaly for Dias.
