Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is confident that Jack Grealish will sign in the coming weeks.
The Premier League champions have been chasing the Aston Villa skipper for the majority of the summer, alongside Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane.
The 25-year-old, who only signed a new five-year deal with the club in September, has aspirations of playing in the Champions League and it is thought he is keen to step up to the next level sooner rather than later.
Recent reports have stated that the premier league club value their talisman at £100 million, however, some around the club believe that a bid in the range of £90 million could be accepted.
Aston Villa continue to stand firm on a £100 million valuation of their prized asset, and there is also an understanding in various quarters that they would be willing to discuss fresh contract talks with the player in order to keep him away from the grasps of the Premier League champions.
According to Daily Mail, Manchester City remain in talks with Aston Villa to persuade them to lower their asking price of £100m for the England midfielder.
The report claims there is ‘confidence’ around Man City that Jack Grealish will sign in the coming weeks.
The belief is that Jack Grealish wants to make the move and it is expected that the England international will move to Etihad Stadium when he returns from holiday “next week”.
Should a deal for Grealish get done soon, Manchester City could then turn their attention towards convincing Tottenham to sell Kane.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.

‘Coming weeks’ so that means minimum 2 weeks which then leaves us with 19 days to sign Kane because we actually need Kane more than grealish

Weeks now? First we heard he was having second thoughts, then that there was a tiny possibility that he might sign by the end of this week. Now it's out to weeks.
