Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Southampton are not willing to sell Danny Ings this summer.
The 28-year-old striker has been linked with a move to the Etihad this summer’s transfer window following a reported impasse with Tottenham Hotspur for star striker Harry Kane
The Premier League champions are in the market for a forward to replace Sergio Agüero, who left the club after a ten-year spell in Manchester and Harry Kane has been their top target in the ongoing transfer window.
The Premier League champions are thought to be have made a £100m offer for the England captain but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reluctant to part ways with Kane this summer and has slapped a staggering £150m price tag on the marksman’s head to fend off potential suitors.
Should the pursuit of Kane fail, Pep Guardiola’s side must definitely have a shortlist of alternatives, and is now exploring other forward options and it has been claimed that Danny Ings has emerged as an option.
Football Insider early this week reported that the Citizens have now made an approach for the Saints striker, who has declined to sign a new contract beyond next season.
The report claims Ings is regarded by City manager Pep Guardiola as an expert penalty box operator capable of finishing off the many chances his side create, but according The Athletic UK, Southampton are 𝗡𝗢𝗧 willing to sell their star striker this summer.
The England International is also reportedly attracting interest from Tottenham, West Ham United and Aston Villa.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, Man City fans as usual have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
