Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report to yet another update on Jack Grealish‘s potential move to the Etihad.
The Aston Villa skipper is one of the players Manchester City is considering buying this summer as they aim to defend the Premier League title and also impress again in Europe next season.
The 25-year-old, who only signed a new five-year deal with the club in September, has aspirations of playing in the Champions League and it is thought he is keen to step up to the next level sooner rather than later.
Reports over the course of the past month have suggested that the Villa midfielder has been attracting significant levels following his impressive season and is poised to move to the Etihad Stadium.
Recent reports have stated that the premier league club value their talisman at £100 million, however, some around the club believe that a bid in the range of £90 million could be accepted.
According to journalist Dean Jones, Aston Villa are believed to become open to accepting a bid for Jack Grealish if a huge offer arrives.
Jones claims that Grealish’s move to Etihad could be possible in case of a bid higher than the current British record of £89M.
The 25-year-old scored six goals and laid on 12 assists last season, which won him inclusion in the England squad for Euro 2020. He featured in five games during the tournament, starting once and registering two assists as England lost in the final on penalties to Italy.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.

Get it done we need him to settle in quickly. We all know about first season syndrome unless your name is Ruben Dias

isn’t 89m a bit too much i mean let’s be honest

It seems high but he is a very good player, he is hugely marketable. So long term it is probably a value for money transfer.

Plus Villa have no desire to sell, no need to sell so it’s going to be an above value bid to be successful here.
Jack Grealish is good and all that but £89m? I don’t think so, this is Aston villa taking exploiting city like other clubs have been doing for a while now, I bet, if Arsenal said they are interested in that guy Aston villa would sell him for £40m and not 89m
