Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Stoke City are ‘increasingly confident’ of signing Liam Delap on loan.
The Manchester City youngster has been linked with a loan move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer.
The teenage striker was instrumental in City winning the U-23 league last season, scoring 24 goals and assisted 5 in a sensational year for the youngster.
Delap, who is one of City’s most exciting youth prospects, has been promised a place in Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad next season after scoring a record 24 goals in Premier League 2 – and is a genuinely exciting prospect.
However, there has been plenty of speculation that the 18-year-old strike could go out on loan this season in order to gain some vital experience, with Stoke one of a long list of Championship clubs interested in securing the talents of the highly-rated striker this month.
According to Football League World, people working for Stoke City are increasingly confident that an agreement will be reached with City over the service of Delap.
Delap has a contract with Manchester City running until 2023 and the English champions are keen to extend it before sanctioning a loan move for him.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have been sharing their thoughts and opinions.

Best thing that can happen to him

As long as he’s with us, he’ll be training with the first team. Good loan was always on the cards though to the right team.

Could be good for him but would like to see him stay and fight for a place

That would only happen if we were increasingly confident of signing Harry Kane from Spurs… So good news….
