Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have ‘joined the race’ for Leicester centre-half Caglar Soyuncu.
Caglar Soyuncu has steadily grown in stature since joining Leicester City from SC Freiburg in the summer of 2018. While initially a backup option, the 25-year-old has come into his own since the departure of Harry Maguire, establishing himself as one of the best defenders plying their trade in the Premier League.
According to Turkish Football, Manchester City are preparing an offer to sign the Leicester City centre-half amid rival interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Foxes reportedly want €60M and will enter talks if their asking price is matched. The player wants to stay in the premier league.
Soyuncu was part of the Leicester team that lifted the FA Cup last season, playing the full 90 minutes against Chelsea in the final at Wembley.
The 25-year-old played all three games in Turkey’s disappointing Euro 2020 campaign but from a transfer standpoint, he will have more time off this summer to recover and work on pre-season fitness.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
So despite buying two quality centre backs last year, the media still thinks it makes sense to link us with every available centre-back under the sun.

I am convinced more than ever now that journalist like this work hand-in-hand with agents to scratch each others backs, and come up with teams like city being interested in signing these guys, in order to just simply drive up the price and get clicks on social media
