Manchester City’s reported target Kayky showed how good he is with a magnificent goal on Sunday Night – and some Fans were impressed.
Many Man City fans must have been keeping an eye on the forward to see how he fairs in high-pressure fixtures for Fluminense this season.
Kayky is one of the talented Brazilian wonderkids in the South American country, and several reports claims the 17-year-old is on the verge of completing a transfer to Manchester City for 2022.
Report from Globo Esporte claimed the sale has been agreed since February, as City are spending €10m plus bonuses on the deal. Kayky, however, can only move once he turns 18.
With a whole calendar year until he potentially departs to City. The teenager who is often compared to the likes of Neymar and Ronaldo, is focused on the upcoming 2021 Brasileirão campaign and the 2021 Copa Libertadores, which has Fluminense in the same group as River Plate.
Ahead of Fluminense FC’s fixture against Nova Iguacu last weekend, Kayky spoke to the media, where he discussed and danced around the rumors linking him to the Etihad.
“My head is fine; my focus is on Fluminense,” Kayky said. “Regarding the transactions, I am leaving it up to my representatives and my family to settle. I’m very focused on Fluminense. I will fulfill my dream of competing in the Libertadores and am working hard to do well in this Libertadores tournament,” he said as relayed by Globo Esporte.
The 17-year-old had his first start for Fluminense last week, and besides scoring his first goal as a professional, his performance has been praised by several outlets.
He score again, this time an individual amazing goal in Fluminense’s 3 – 1 win over Nova Iguacu in the Guanabara Cup over the weekend.
The talented Brazilian wonderkids left some City fans in awe with that magnificent goal.
