Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on Barcelona forward Lionel Messi’s potential move to the Etihad.
With the legendary forward out of contract at Barcelona at the end of the season, the Cityzens have been strongly linked with a potential move for him on a free transfer.
The Six-time Ballon d’Or winner is now free to talk to clubs outside Spain about a summer move, with Man City reportedly the most likely destination for the Argentine.
According to Ian McGarry of the Transfer Window Podcast, the value of the contract offer from Manchester City for Lionel Messi has been reduced to around €500 million spread over the next eight to ten years.
The report claims that the offer is based upon: Up to three years at the Etihad, playing in the MLS, and becoming a City Football Group ambassador.
