Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Angelino will join RB Leipzig on a permanent contract until 2025.
Having failed to nail down a place in City first team under Pep Guardiola, the fleet-footed Spanish loanee has been in fine form for Leipzig with 8 goals and 11 assists from his 28 Bundesliga appearances so far this season.
Leipzig will have the chance to make the deal permanent once the on-loan City man has played 12 competitive games for Leipzig—five of those have to be played in the second half of the season.
According to City Xtra, Leipzig will sign Angeliño on a contract until 2025 after his appearance vs Augsburg on Friday triggered an obligation to buy in his loan deal.
His appearance in Leipzig’s 2-1 win over Augsburg, triggered the clause making his loan switch from City permanent.
The report adds that City retain the right to buy the player back for a fee of around £35 million, however they do not have any sell-on clause implemented into the deal, and so would not receive any finances should Leipzig sell the player in the future.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have have expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Didn’t suit the system at all. Good luck to him tho 💙

Gutted, we should sign a left back cheaper than Angelino’ sale.

Good, never wanted him anyway. What a waste of money signing him and then sending him out on loan five months later. He was never good for us, plus he’s the same type of player as Mendy is, decent attacking but crap defensively.

He wasn’t good enough in a back 4 for us. He’s been good for Leipzig because he suits the system

Pretty sure people forgot how bad he was for us in a back 4, just didn’t fit our system it was right to let him to go. Happy for him
