Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on twitter, which relayed a comment by Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho on Gabriel Jesus.

Since joining the club in January 2017 as just a teenager, the 23-year-old Brazilian forward has gone on to develop into one of the finest forwards in the Premier League.

However, Jesus has not been an automatic starter in the Premier League this season, even in the absence of Sergio Aguero through injury and illness.

Fernandinho believes Jesus, who has received a lot of critics for being a below-par finisher, is not getting enough credit to his influence on Man City teammates.

Speaking exclusively to Fred Caldeira of TNT Sports this week, the veteran midfielder shone some light on Gabriel Jesus, who continue to go under the radar despite what he offer to the team.

“We’re friends and very close too – I’m practically an older brother. The respect we have for each other makes conversations easier. Gabriel has a very different head from players of his age…,” Fernandinho said.

“I hope with the maturity he has, he can collect the fruits as quickly as possible. Like I told him, the most important thing is to have a good head and perform his day-to-day work for Man City and the national team.”

“His performances are wonderful. People don’t give him credit because he doesn’t score every game. But when you see him as a whole in a match, it’s impressive. No striker in the world can do what he does for us!”

In reaction to this Fernandinho’s comment shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra, many Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
