Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club is preparing to offer Bayern Munich defender David Alaba a £240,000-a-week contract in the hope of convincing the Austrian to move to the Etihad Stadium.
City has been long linked with the Bayern Munich defender, with a number of clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United, credited with an interest in the defender over the last few months.
According to AS, Man City are hoping that a contract offer of £240,000 a week will be enough to lure the 28-year-old to the Etihad for the 2021-22 campaign.
The report claims the Etihad club’s offer is ‘higher’ than other suitors like Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.
