Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club is preparing to offer Bayern Munich defender David Alaba a £240,000-a-week contract in the hope of convincing the Austrian to move to the Etihad Stadium.

City has been long linked with the Bayern Munich defender, with a number of clubs, including Real MadridBarcelonaLiverpoolChelsea and Manchester United, credited with an interest in the defender over the last few months.

According to AS, Man City are hoping that a contract offer of £240,000 a week will be enough to lure the 28-year-old to the Etihad for the 2021-22 campaign.

The report claims the Etihad club’s offer is ‘higher’ than other suitors like Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain.
