Manchester City have confirmed two more players and another member of staff have tested positive for Covid-19.
City have been dealing with an outbreak of Covid-19 over the festive period, with their game against Everton on December 28 having been postponed after “strong medical advice”.
Pep Guardiola was missing a number of players for the 3-1 win at Chelsea on Sunday, including goalkeeper Ederson and England international Kyle Walker, who tested positive on Christmas Day.
A statement from the club read: “Manchester City FC can confirm that Scott Carson, Cole Palmer and one member of staff have tested positive for Covid-19.null
“Both personnel will now observe a period of self-isolation in accordance with Premier League and UK Government protocol on quarantine.
“Everyone at the club wishes Scott, Cole and all of our other colleagues a speedy recovery ahead of their return to work, training and competition.”
The news were relayed to Man City fans on Twitter by Man City Xtra and City Chief and that had lots of fans talking.
