Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Eric Garcia is set to complete a move back to Barcelona.
The Spain international Garcia is in the final year of his contract at City and was linked with a switch back to his boyhood club Barcelona during the close season.
Barca attempted to sign the 19-year-old in but failed to agree a fee with City. The premier league club reportedly rejected Barcelona’s offer of €10 million, plus €8m in add-ons, standing firm on their demand of a total package worth €20 million for the 19-year-old.
The La Liga outfit are determined to sign the youngster in January. Garcia as well is determined to return to his hometown club, which he left to join City’s youth ranks in 2017, and has no intention of penning a new deal in England despite being under pressure to agree fresh terms.
Garcia’s representatives are in constant contact with Barcelona to try and work towards an agreement, and the Catalan club will continue to push for a deal until the end of the winter window.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the teen has already agreed terms with Barca to join as a free agent next summer, but could move in January if the struggling Spanish giants decide to negotiate with Man City.
The report adds that City and Pep Guardiola ‘were trying in every way possible’ to convince Garcia to stay and renew his contract. However, the player only wants a return back home, to Barcelona.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra and City Chief, Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Shouldn’t sold him when we had the chance but now he’ll leave on a free. Poor business yet again by City. Add this to the £2m for Adarabioyo. Crumbs for Sancho as well. Disgusting
