Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports of the club’s interest in Brighton and Hove Albion right-back Tariq Lamptey despite his new deal.
The 20-year-old joined the Seagulls from Chelsea on a three-and-a-half-year deal last January, and his impressive performances have attracted a host of Premier League clubs.
According to David Ornstein of the Athletic in his Monday column, Manchester City are among the ‘admirers’ of the promising Brighton right-back.

The report claimed that Tariq’s new contract is ‘unlikely to discourage’ clubs keen on recruiting the defender, with it suggested that Brighton’s asking price has remained more or less the same.
Lamptey is solid defensively, and it is not a surprise that he is attracting City despite the club having the likes of Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo in that position.
In reaction to the report shared on twitter by Man City Xtra, many Sky Blues have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

He’d be one for the future for sure. I doubt he’d be happy sitting on the bench though, that’s why he left Chelsea- minutes

If they sign another right back before signing a left back I’ll lose it.
