Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports of the club’s interest in Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig.
The 21 year old mildflielder make his breakthrough at Barcelona, underlining his potential as one of the best young midfielders in Europe.
With his contract up next summer the door is open for him to leave Camp Nou, with Manchester City reportedly hovering in the background.
According to Fichajes via Sport Witness, City ‘have looked’ at the 21-year-old midfielder, who will be available to negotiate a free transfer for the summer come the beginning of January.
The report adds that the deal will be a ‘real bombshell’ in the transfer market, with several big sides positioning themselves to secure him on the cheap.
Puig is a Guardiola type of player and City would be a good place for him to resume his development after being ostracised without much explanation by Barca.
