Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports of the club’s interest in Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram.
Thuram has shone in the Bundesliga and is surely heading for a big move in the near future. The 23-year-old looks a promising talent and makes sense as a player who might’ve been on the Blues’ agenda.
German outlet Express.de claimed back in April that Liverpool were interested in a potential move for Thuram, with a £44m fee mentioned at the time for the striker. However, the Reds ultimately ended up bringing in Diogo Jota from Wolves instead.
According to BILD, City could end up battling the likes of Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus for his signature, with the three club labelled the ‘most interested parties’.
The German newspaper says that his ‘explosive development’ and his age has caused clubs to start lining up, acknowledging that another season without fans could force Borussia to sell their top stars.
The Borussia Monchengladbach forward bagged 12 goals and eight assists across the Bundesliga and Europa League last term. He’s started this season in a similar vein, with three goals and five assists in 10 games thus far.
At just 23-years-old, Thuram has plenty of time to grow as a player. The Frenchman is a massive talent and can play anywhere across the front three.
At 6ft 4in, he’s not your typical Guardiola striker. But Thuram possesses plenty of technical ability and is much more than a target man.

Have they lost their mind, from mbappe haaland and daka to Thuram?

If this is true then we definitely aren’t getting håland

Nope, not an Aguero replacement

If we’re going for a striker, it has to be one even better than Jesus.

We understand going for daka
But thuram
He is not even an improvement over Gabby FFS.— KP #HULG (@ManCityKP) November 4, 2020
If we buy him, it should be a loan option in January if we can’t get Daka and Aguero has a major injury in that time space. Thuram to me is a 3rd choice ST and that’s why I said a loan move is better. But still, I don’t think we should be looking at him at all.

I feel like if we signed him, he would surprise a lot of people.
6’4 powerful left winger who is clinical in front of goal and is very intelligent off the ball. He has everything to become a world class winger under Guardiola and has already proved himself at the top level.— Fin (@__Finlay__) November 5, 2020
