Man City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde has agreed to a five-year deal at the Etihad Stadium.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a stellar 2019/20 season in La Liga, making 29 appearances as his side comfortably finished in the top four.
According to Footmercato relayed by Sport Illustrated, Jules Kounde has agreed to a five-year deal at Manchester City, and only an agreement on a fee remains before we see the player become the third signing of the summer for Pep Guardiola.
The report adds that although a €10 million difference remains between Sevilla and Manchester City – the La Liga side demanding €70 million and City offering €60 million – an agreement should be found easily in the coming days.
At just 21 years of age, he has potential to evolve into one of the Premier League’s best defenders as he links with Aymeric Laporte, another French player who made his name in La Liga before joining City.
The young Frenchman Kounde would certainly be viewed as a prospect for the future with his natural defensive talent coupled with blistering pace for a central defender.

Very very good player. Not that tall and thought he would struggle a bit in the in the few games I watched him last season, but no problem. Fast, aggressive and very good on the ball. Great signing— Christian Bak (@ChrisRed83B) September 20, 2020
We have done the personal agreement several times with Koulibaly also🤦🏻♂️
The main concern as always is transfer fees between two clubs 🤷🏻♂️— Shaurya Sharma (@shauryasharma41) September 20, 2020
Puyol cannavaro koeman baresi beckenbauer and so many more were all under six foot but all ended being the best ever. If they can dominate Europe and their leagues then this lad partnered with Laporte can be special— onemilli (@onemilli1) September 20, 2020
Why would we pay this money for him but not £75M for Koulibaly? #TxikiOut— Patrick/Chico 🇬🇧🇨🇦 (@MCFCChico) September 20, 2020
