Manchester City have nearly wrapped up the signing of Diego Rosa, with only ‘bureaucratic details’ to be sorted before the Brazil wonderkid joins the Premier League giants.
The Premier league club are adding another Brazilian to their ranks after securing Yan Couto from Coritiba FC for £5 million to their roster for the 2020/21 campaign.
According to claims made by UOL, there are as many as 14 clauses in Rosa’s contract, which could see Man City pay up to €22.5m for the starlet. Only when this bureaucratic details are sorted before the move will be made official by the clubs for the highly-rated wonderkid.
The report says some of these clauses are about the player making his debut in the Premier League, individual prizes and titles with the club.
However, it looks unlikely that the Brazilian teenager will be part of Guardiola’s roster until January. He does not turn 18 until October and is not allowed to under FIFA laws.
City are likely to loan him out initially to give him some experience of playing at a high level as Rosa has never played for Gremio’s senior side.
