Celtic who are clearly in the market for a striker are looking at a possible loan move for Manchester City academy graduate Lukas Nmecha, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The likes of Patrick Roberts, Olivier Ntcham, Daniel Arzani and Jeremie Frimpong have moved to Celtic from City over the last few years.
Manchester City, in particular, know just how helpful a partnership with Celtic can be in giving their talented youngsters a chance to shine.
According to Daily Mail, the Bhoys have monitored Nmecha, who has made a handful of appearances for the Cityzens.
It remains to be seen if Celtic confirm their interest in the 21-year-old with a bid. But the Hoops have had a good relationship with City in recent years.
With Nmecha unlikely to play first-team football for City any time soon, the Premier League leaders should consider offering the teenager to Celtic.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief and Man City Xtra, City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
Nmecha seems like a decent striker for the future but he needs to start kicking on now. Next season will be defining for him, should he go on loan.— eder☀️ (@SweeperKeeper31) August 6, 2020
You definitely right… His struggling to impress so next season he definitely has to show his worth— Mukonazwoṱhe (@t_mukona) August 6, 2020
Just sell the lad. He’s never going to make it at City. He will have a dedebt career but he just needs to leave and put down roots somewhere— 🐺Matt Woolfenden🐺 (@OneEyedLycan) August 6, 2020
