Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on the Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly’s potential move to the Etihad.

Guardiola is desperate to find a reliable centre-back partner for Aymeric Laporte and has identified the 29-year-old as a priority signing. Koulibaly has been linked with a move to Manchester City, who will finish as runners-up to Liverpool in the Premier League.

Despite of several reports suggesting Man City are closing in on the defender, Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli revealed on Saturday as reported by Goal insists there’s been no offers for the Senegalese defender.

Giuntoli said, “At this moment, we haven’t received any offers. Koulibaly had important offers in the past and a great deal of interest, but we are in no rush to make decisions. We consider our players important and will discuss the situation with them.”

According to report from Sky Sport Italia via Football Italia, City’s offer for Kalidou Koulibaly will not go above €65M, an offer considered ‘entirely unacceptable’ by Napoli whose valuation for the defender is believed to be between €75-80M.

The Senegalese’s current deal with Napoli runs until the end of the 2022-23 season.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City xtra and City Chief, Manchester City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

“Think people are forgetting this guy is only about 2 weeks older than van dijk and he’s worth over €100 million. To me it’s a bargain even at €75 million-€80million”, claimed one fan.

While another asked, “Why cant we just offer 65m and Otamendi?”

While another tweeted, “So that’s only a €10-15m difference. I don’t understand why Txiki haggles over this. The winner of the PL gets €40m in merit payments alone. Koulibaly is a difference maker. If he helps us win the league it will be be worth it”

Another tweet said: “Trust in the men at the top if this is true u dont just agree to the first price given and they certainly didnt get where they are today by doing so”
