Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos’s potential move to the Etihad.

Diego Carlos is one of the defender strongly linked with a move to the Etihad amongst José Giménez, Upamecano, Milan Skriniar, Nathan Ake and Kalidou Koulibaly in recent weeks, as Pep Guardiola looks to sign a new centre-back at the end of the season.

The Citizens have recently had a bid accepted from Bournemouth for defender Nathan Ake but Guardiola isn’t done there.

According to El Desmarque Sevilla via Sport_Witness, the Citizens have ‘moved seriously’ to sign Diego Carlos from Sevilla this summer and and have held informal talks, but know a deal will be difficult.

Carlos, who was from French club Nantes for a reported £13.5 million last summer, has established himself as one of La Liga’s best-performing centre-backs, registering 15 assists in 34 league appearances. Perhaps more importantly for Pep Guardiola, Carlos has averaged a pass success rate of 84.2% across the league campaign.

In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief and Man City Xtra, City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
