Manchester City have secured the signing of Brazilian winger Savio from ESTAC Troyes for a fee of €40 million. The club made sure to act quickly to secure the talented 20-year-old following a successful loan spell at Girona last season. Savio is set to sign a five-year agreement with City, keeping him at the club until at least 2029.
There had been doubt over Savio’s future with the club, but it has now been confirmed that he is part of Manchester City’s plans for the upcoming season. Despite initial talks about a possible loan deal, it appears that Savio will be staying with the Premier League champions. Even though he will still join the team on their pre-season tour in the United States, it has been decided that he will be a part of Pep Guardiola’s plans moving forward.
The reported fee paid by Manchester City for Savio’s signing is relatively quiet, but it has now been revealed to be €40 million. The Premier League champions are looking to strengthen their central midfield options this summer, but have acted swiftly to secure the signing of the promising winger. Savio’s future at the club looks promising as he prepares to begin his journey with Manchester City.
