Manchester City is looking to sell striker Liam Delap during the upcoming summer transfer window after a successful loan spell at Championship side Hull City where he scored eight goals and provided two assists in 32 appearances. With the presence of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez in the squad, Delap is unlikely to have a future with Manchester City’s first team.
Journalist Alan Nixon has reported that Manchester City is looking to sell Delap to the highest bidder for around £10 million in the upcoming transfer window. It is possible that a buy back clause may be included in the deal, but Delap’s future at the Etihad Stadium is unclear as he is unlikely to feature in Pep Guardiola’s first-team plans.
There is uncertainty over whether Hull City manager Liam Rosenior would be open to bringing Delap back for the next season or if the club could afford a deal at the reported price. Delap, who has had loan spells at Stoke City and Preston North End before Hull City, may be looking for a permanent move in order to secure regular playing time at a new club.
