Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva is expected to seek a resolution to his future, with reports suggesting that he is unhappy with the culture in northern England and desires a move closer to Portugal. The upcoming transfer window may see Silva target an exit from the Etihad Stadium for the fourth consecutive time, with clubs like FC Barcelona potentially interested in triggering his release clause.
In an attempt to expedite his exit process from Manchester City, Silva has reportedly set a deadline for his future to be resolved by the end of the 2024 European Championships. Despite expressing interest in returning to his boyhood club SL Benfica in the future, Silva remains committed to his current team and has contributed significantly this season, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists across 45 appearances.
Silva’s contract now includes a £50 million release clause that can be activated this summer, paving the way for a potential move. While a return to Benfica may be on the cards in the future, Silva remains focused on his current responsibilities with Manchester City as the new season approaches.
