The Premier League is planning a special reward for Manchester City if they succeed in winning the top-flight crown over Liverpool and Arsenal at the end of the season.
Pep Guardiola and his team are currently in third place in the league table after their recent match, where they drew 0-0 against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City is currently three points behind league leaders Liverpool and one point behind Arsenal with nine games left in the season.
Following their Treble success last season, Manchester City has the opportunity to make history by winning a fourth consecutive Premier League crown this season.
If they achieve this feat, the Premier League is considering awarding Pep Guardiola and his players with a ‘replica golden Premier League trophy’, according to reports from Manchester City insider ‘Tolmie’s Hairdoo’ on X.
Manchester City could become the first team in history to win the league four times in a row, with the last golden trophy tribute being awarded to Arsenal for their ‘Invincible’ campaign in 2003/04.
Since joining Manchester City in 2016, Pep Guardiola has won a total of 16 major honors, including five Premier League titles, two FA Cup wins, and four League Cup victories. He also led the team to their first UEFA Champions League title last season.
In addition to their domestic success, Manchester City also achieved continental and global success with the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup victories following their Treble win in the 2022/23 season.
