Unfortunately, Manchester City will be missing Nathan Ake in their upcoming matches due to an injury he sustained against Arsenal.
The Dutch international centre-back had to leave the game early against Arsenal after suffering a calf injury.
Rico Lewis replaced Ake and performed well during the rest of the match, hinting at a possible increased role in the upcoming games.
Pep Guardiola confirmed in a press conference that Nathan Ake will not be available for the next game against Aston Villa and potentially for more matches in the near future.
Guardiola stated that Ake is injured and while they hope for a speedy recovery, he will not be able to play in the upcoming games.
Following the Aston Villa game, Manchester City will face Crystal Palace before heading to play Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
The team will also have to navigate a Premier League match against Luton Town in between the Champions League fixtures, with hopes of having key players like Kyle Walker, Ederson, and Nathan Ake back in action.
